Beijing Energy Club (“Club”) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization for public benefit. Its purpose is to serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas among Chinese and foreign energy experts; to attract authoritative experts for in-depth discussion on energy, resources, the environment and climate issues confronting China and the world; to collect experts’ recommendations for China’s sustainable energy development;
and to share the Chinese experience with the rest of the world.
The scope of the Club’s activities includes:
Promote the communication and sharing of new ideas through a diversity of mediums; such mediums include hosting academic
exchanges and topical discussions among experts in energy and other related areas;
Hold expert seminars on critical energy-related topics confronting China and the world, and providing recommendations to those
who make major decisions related to China’s energy strategies and policies;
Advise Chinese and foreign companies on energy strategy, policy, technology, markets, etc.
Mr. Wu Guihui, Chief Engineer and Head of International Co-operation Department of the Chinese National Energy Administration, unveiled the Club’s logo with Mr. Robert Priddle, former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, on 13th December 2008.
